master bathroom: after

Right now we're doing tedious, time-consuming jobs that need to be done before we can unpack.  Baseboards, painting doors, doorknobs, etc.  In the meantime, here's a followup to the "master bathroom (pretty much) complete" post.  Just more photos of the only room in the house that's really "done," now that it's furnished.

We went to Ikea this week to get a closet setup for our master closet, so that will probably be the next room to be finished and photographed...

  1. It's beautiful! I've enjoyed seeing all the progress (and continuing progress of the fun stuff). And the fun stuff begins-- unpacking and living in the fruits of your [HARD] labor!!

  2. This is all so beautiful. You guys should be really proud of the work done. I bought an old house 7 years ago, and I know how time consuming each little project can be. I was naive and thought I could do it all quickly, like on "This Old House". haha. I didn't have a team of professionals working "off camera" & "around the clock" though. I learned the hard way :) Enjoy your beautiful home.

  3. Thank you so much. We've been told that HGTV has kind of ruined this experience for people, because they make it look so easy! But they leave SO much out. For us there has definitely been an element of "learning the hard way" too, but I think we at least had the edge that my husband's an electrician and has been working in new construction for over a decade. So that made even totally new tasks seem learn-able. Ha, I wish I had a team of professionals too though.
