new chair.

Our parlor has been sadly devoid of much seating since we moved into the house, so we're always having to move chairs in from the dining room any time it's more than just Dan and I sitting in there.  We'll still have to do that because I only bought one chair today at the antique store, but it's quite a beauty.  I think this chair is my spirit animal.

The chair is from the 1850s, and though I doubt the upholstery is original, the woodwork is.  It's got a rose motif -- perfect.  I saw it and figured I'd kick myself if it didn't end up in our house.

There were some other chair choices that would go very nicely directly across from the sofa, but I went through some major indecisiveness and couldn't figured out which ones would be best, so I decided to wait on it.  Which could be a huge mistake, since we've now gone relatively chair-less in this house since October.  But more antiquing is to come, I'm sure.  Now if we can only get the dining room finished............
